Nigerian music star Asake, has reconciled with his father, Fatai Odunsi, after reports of a strained relationship.
This comes just days after Odunsi publicly accused the singer of neglecting him since his health began to decline in 2022. However, in a recent video, he confirmed that Asake has now reached out to him and resolved their differences.
Speaking in Yoruba, Odunsi explained, “His mother ought to ask him when last he saw me. That was what got me angry, but we have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting.”
He further revealed that Asake has promised to take care of him, including buying him a house and covering his medical expenses. “They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything,” Odunsi added.
Additionally, Asake has committed to taking full responsibility for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat.
According to Odunsi, the singer never denied the child but has now assured that he will actively provide for her needs.
The reconciliation has been met with positive reactions from fans, who commended Asake for making amends with his family.
