Boxing Legend George Foreman Dies At 76

Boxing great, George Foreman has died at the age of 76.

Known as “Big George,” he was an Olympic gold medalist in 1968 and a two-time world heavyweight champion, making history in 1994 when he reclaimed the title at 45, becoming the oldest champion ever.

Foreman’s legendary career saw him win 76 fights, including 68 knockouts—nearly twice as many as Muhammad Ali, to whom he lost in the famous 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle.”

After retiring in 1997, he found massive financial success with the George Foreman Grill, earning more from it than from boxing.

His family described him as a “devout preacher, devoted husband, and loving father,” adding that he was “a force for good” who fought to preserve his legacy.

Tributes poured in from across the boxing world, with former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson stating Foreman’s contribution to the sport “will never be forgotten.”

Fans and fellow athletes alike are mourning the loss of one of boxing’s most enduring and beloved figures.
