Obrafour, Possigee Clash On Social Media Over Songwriting Credit

Obrafour and Possigee

A heated exchange has broken out between legendary hiplife artist, Obrafour and renowned sound engineer Possigee over songwriting credit on Sarkodie’s song ‘Hope’, which features Obrafour.

The disagreement began after Possigee shared a video on social media discussing songwriting in the music industry.

He said it was normal for artists to have songs written for them and used Sarkodie as an example, claiming Sarkodie wrote part of Obrafour’s verse on Hope.

“Hope, Sarkodie featuring Obrafour — it was Sarkodie who wrote it and had Obrafour sing it, then Obrafour added his part,” Possigee said, partly in Pidgin.

Obrafour quickly responded in the comment section, strongly denying the claim.

“What kind of lie is this? Can you tell me which of my songs any ghostwriter wrote for me or Sark? Please don’t involve me in any of your clout-chasing nonsense. Respect yourself and let me be in my corner,” Obrafour wrote.

Possigee defended himself, saying he was in the studio and recorded the track, so he knows what happened.

“Obrafour, I’m talking about Hope, Sarkodie featuring you. I recorded Sarkodie and the choir, and as you know, I have never been a clout chaser,” he replied.

Still upset, Obrafour told Possigee to stop spreading false information and confirm facts before speaking.

“Possigee, who said Sark wrote my hook? Get your facts right, please. Call him and ask and don’t be misinforming,” Obrafour added.
