Obaapa Christy Teams Up With Sarkodie On ‘Odeneho’

Obaapa Christy and Sarkodie

Gospel star Obaapa Christy has dropped her 15th studio album, Odeneho (The Sovereign One), and it’s already stirring waves across Ghana’s music scene.

Released on July 31, 2025, the 12-track project is making headlines not only for its depth but also for its unlikely collaboration, Obaapa Christy featuring rapper, Sarkodie, on the title track “Odeneho.”

The team-up is being hailed as a spiritual crossover. Sarkodie himself called it “a testimony” and a “bucket list achievement,” while Obaapa Christy praised his performance: “If you see how Sarkodie sang ‘Odeneho’ with such emotion, you’d know he truly loves God.”

A teaser of the music video has already gone viral, with the full release set for September 4, 2025.

Beyond the headline collaboration, Odeneho delivers a full gospel experience with tracks like “No Weapon,” “Gyae Su” featuring Brother Sammy, and “Thank You Jesus” featuring her son Junior. Other songs, including “Yesu Mo” and “Omma Me Nte Nhwe,” add to what fans are calling one of her strongest albums yet.
