Legacy Hands of Hope members at Akramanam in Ga West Municipality
LEGACY HANDS of Hope (LHOH), a non-governmental organisation focused on addressing the systemic challenges impacting African and Caribbean diaspora communities have fed some 900 kids at Akramanam in the Ga West Municipality.
President of LHOH, Rebecca Crumbley, said the organisation hope to empower individuals and communities through compassionate support, education, and resources, fostering resilience and sustainable change.
She added that the foundation seeks to address water access through the construction of boreholes for clean, safe water, rebuilding and resourcing schools, healthcare, providing supplies and services, and the distribution of hygiene kits and training.
The foundation has drilled and maintains a borehole for clean water, rebuilt and furnished the village school at Akramanam in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra Region. Additionally, it also provided medical and hygiene supplies, as well as food essentials to Akropong School for the Blind this year.
Chief Operations Officer and Healthcare Specialist, Christine Hoyte, said the foundation believes in giving, educating, and supporting communities to inspire transformation and self-sufficiency across generations.
“By the end of 2025, we aim to provide a village with access to clean water, which will improve health and wellbeing. Better school and lavatory infrastructure, and provide students with hygiene kits and school supplies,” she said.
Chief Financial Officer and Education Specialist, Natasha Moore, called for support to help the foundation transform the lives of persons in underprivileged communities.
“Every contribution transforms lives, support our mission with financial or in-kind backing as we embark on making the world a better place,” she added.
