The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) will today host its 36th National Marketing Performance Awards under the theme “Repositioning Brand Ghana: Marketing for Economic Growth and Transformation.”
The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, is expected to deliver the keynote address on the institute’s theme of repositioning the national brand, which CIMG says, goes beyond advertising.
According to the institute, nation branding requires insights from the highest levels of policy and governance.
Speaking at the media launch in Accra on June 30, 2025, the President of CIMG, Michael Abbiw, explained that this year’s theme underscores the necessity of building a strong and cohesive national brand to attract investment, boost exports, and enhance global competitiveness.
According to him, the awards are not merely a celebration of excellence within the marketing profession but also a national platform for recognising ethical leadership, business innovation, and social impact.
Through the awards, he said CIMG aims to spark a broader national conversation on how strategic marketing can drive Ghana’s economic growth and transformation.
