Social media has been buzzing following Sarkodie’s Rapperholic concert in Kumasi, but the celebrations unexpectedly pulled fellow musician Stonebwoy into the spotlight.
The stir began when a fan shared a clip from Stonebwoy’s 2023 BHIM Concert with lyrics from one of his songs. Many online users interpreted the post as a subtle dig at Sarkodie. Things escalated when Stonebwoy quoted the fan’s post with the single word, “Historic.”
This sparked backlash, with critics accusing the dancehall star of jealousy and trying to overshadow Sarkodie’s big night. Others, however, came to Stonebwoy’s defence, pointing out that he had used the same “Historic” caption days earlier in support of Sarkodie ahead of the concert, proving it was consistent praise rather than rivalry.
The debate comes as Sarkodie recently expressed interest in featuring Stonebwoy at a future Rapperholic event, a move many fans say highlights the mutual respect between the two.
