Entertainment journalist with the Daily Guide Network George Clifford Owusu, was laid to rest on Saturday, November 8, 2025, following a solemn burial service held at the forecourt of Apenkwa Presbyterian Church, in Accra.
Family, friends, colleagues, and members of the creative industry gathered to pay their final respects to a man fondly remembered for his warmth, humility, and service to others.
The ceremony, which began with a laying in state and pre-burial service at the church, was followed by interment at the Achimota Cemetery.
A thanksgiving service was held the following yesterday, Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Awakeners International Chapel, Ablekuma Pentecost Junction, where mourners joined the family to celebrate his life and legacy.

Clifford Owusu, born in May 1972, passed away in September 2025, leaving behind his widow, Albertina Bene Owusu, and children — Esther Afriyie Owusu, George Clifford Owusu jnr., William Nana Osei Owusu, Margaret Naa Owusu, and Betty Nana Yaa Yeboah Owusu.
Among those who attended the burial were prominent personalities including Abeiku Santana, Deputy Director of the Ghana Tourism Authority; celebrated musician Tic; Musician’s Union Of Ghana (MUSIGA) Special Projects Coordinator. Daddy Bosco Ahuma; members of GHAMRO (Ghana Music Rights Organisation); staff of the Daily Guide Network; and old students of Swedru Secondary School, his alma mater.

Also present were family members, colleagues, and friends from across the country who gathered to honour his memory and contributions.
George Clifford Owusu is fondly remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the indelible mark he left on those who knew him.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
