Bawku Peace Mediation Ends In 3 Weeks – Manhyia Palace

THE BAWKU chieftaincy crisis, which has claimed several lives and caused destruction to properties, worth millions of Ghana Cedis, will come to a conclusion in 20 days’ time.

The Manhyia Palace, the seat of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, who is mediating the crisis, has set November 30 and December 1, 2025 as the days for conclusion of talks between the two parties.

The Asantehene commended the two factions for their understanding, coorperation and commitment for a quick return of peace and normalcy to their community.

The aforementioned statement was contained in a press release, dated November 10, 2025, which was authored and signed by Kofi Badu, the Chief of Staff of Manhyia Palace.

The statement, further stressed on the need for all stakeholders to live upright lifestyles and avoid actions that have the tendency of sparking tension and destroying the gains chalked so far during the mediation process.

“His Majesty praises both sides for their positive approach to the mediation so far and appeals to all concerned to avoid any actions likely to affect the progress towards a lasting solution to the Bawku conflict,” it stated.
