I’m Not Mad To Have A Child With Someone’s Wife – Stephen Amoah

THE MEMBER of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso in Kumasi, Stephen Amoah aka ‘Stica’, has threatened a court action against the family of the late Samuel Aboagye, one of the victims of the August 6, 2025 helicopter crash near Obuasi.

According to him, he has heard reports that the bereaved family had accused him (Stica) of fathering a child with Abigail Salami, the widow of Samuel Aboagye, an accusation he says has deeply dented his image.

DNA Saga

Abigail Salami has been in the news recently after it emerged that she refused to produce her three-year-old daughter with the late Samuel Aboagye for a DNA test, to help identify the charred body of the deceased after the helicopter accident.

The bereaved family, according to reports, suspected that the late Samuel Aboagye, even though he was the husband of Abigail Salami, is not the father of the child, hence Abigail’s refusal to produce her child for the DNA test.

MP Goes ‘Mad’

In the wake of the allegations which suggest infidelity, Stephen Amoah said he has heard radio presenter, Blakk Rasta, saying in the media that he has spoken to the bereaved family about the paternity of the three-year-old girl, and they (family) mentioned his (Stica’s) name as the father of Abigail’s child.

In an angry tone, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) lawmaker stated in an interview with Okay FM that “I’m not a mad person to have an affair with a married woman, even to the extent of secretly having a child with a woman who is legally married to another man.”

He said he knows Abigail, but he hasn’t heard from her for almost seven years now, therefore, he is surprised that his name is being defamed in such manner, stressing the strong need for him to start a legal action to clear his name.

DNA Test Request

“If I say, I don’t know Abigail Salami, then I will be a great liar. I know her but I haven’t seen her for the last seven years. Abigail that I know will never date two men at the same time, never. I can vouch for her. I’m going to court to clear my name.

“Blakk Rasta said he has spoken to the bereaved family and my name has been mentioned. This is not a difficult task, it’s a matter of conducting a DNA to show the paternity of the child in question,” the Nhyiaeso MP indicated in an angry tone.

Stica stated emphatically that he is a staunch Christian so he will never do such a weird thing of secretly impregnating a married woman, saying that he has left those peddling such falsehoods to tarnish his image to God to deal with them.

“But I will still go to court, nobody will persuade me to stop the court action, the family will have to come and prove their allegations in court,” he said, adding that “If the family have any powers to curse, they can also do that without delay.”

According to Stica, he has been in active politics for close to 30 years, and people know that he is an honest person.

“I’m a man, I can date a woman, but to link me of having an affair with a married woman, and also having a child with her secretly, tends to tarnish my good image, and I’ll clear my innocence in court very soon.

“What the bereaved family is doing is dangerous. They should know that we can submit ourselves to DNA test to clarify things… as I said earlier, I know Abigail but for seven years now, I haven’t seen her. I only saw her during the funeral rites of her husband, where I was invited to as MP,” he disclosed.

“Even at her late husband’s funeral rites, I mistook her sister to be Abigail since I haven’t seen her for a long time. If the family wants to keep the man’s property without giving some to the widow, they shouldn’t lie about me to prosecute their agenda,” Stica angrily added.
