Captain Planet, a member of the now-defunct hiplife group, 4×4, has voiced strong concerns over what he describes as “indecent” and “obscene” outfits worn by some young women at this year’s Tidal Rave festival.
In a post shared on X shortly after the event, the musician expressed shock at the fashion choices he observed.
“I just dey see some dressings from yesterday’s Tidal Rave. Chaley, some of these small small girls—I don’t know whether them be models or pornstars. What the hell is happening in Ghana?” he wrote in pidgin.
Doubling down on his critique, he questioned whether such outfits would be acceptable under different circumstances, adding:
“So you go allow your sister to dress like this outside? You’re comparing Ghana to America?”
His remarks have since sparked conversation online.
