Evans Eshun popularly known as Ebo Noah has been remanded into police custody by the Adenta Circuit Court over false claims that the world d would be destroyed by a flood on December 25, 2025.
Ebo Noah rose to internet fame after claiming he was directed to construct an ark to rescue the world from an impending flood which would destroy the world.
He used social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok and YouTube to broadcast several videos in which he reiterated what he termed the end of the world.
But the police now indicate that the accused has admitted to making false claims about the impending flood, while also allegedly admitting that the said ‘ark’ does not belong to him.
The 33-year-old security guard was arrested on December 31, 2025, at his hide out at Weija-Gbawe in the Greater Accra Region, following an intelligence-led operation.
He has been charged with one count of publication of false news with intent to cause fear and panic.
He has been remanded into custody by the court, presided over by Her Honour Angela Attachie to reappear on January 15, 2026.
He was also ordered to undergo a psychiatric examination at any government psychiatric facilities before the next court date.
A Court document indicates that the accused admitted in his investigation caution statement that the boat he referred to as an “ark” in the videos did not belong to him but rather for a fisherman at a boat yard in Edina in the Central Region of Ghana.
“The suspect further admitted that his claims were false and acknowledged that there was no impending flood intended to destroy the world, but all are his own fabrications,” the document added.
