FLASHBACK: Shatta Wale with Peller in Ghana
Nigerian TikToker, Peller, has expressed appreciation to Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale for checking up on him after he was arrested by the Nigerian Police following a disturbing incident linked to a recent relationship breakdown with his girlfriend, Jarvis.
It will be recalled that Peller allegedly attempted to take his own life by crashing his Mercedes-Benz on the Lekki Expressway in Lagos on December 14, 2025. Peller was rushed to the hospital and later taken into police custody for further investigation.
A video which has since gone viral, captured Peller expressing appreciation to Shatta Wale for being the only musician to check up on him after the incident.
“When I went to prison, artistes in Nigeria never checked up on me, it was only Shatta Wale from Ghana who checked up on me. God will not shame him, he told me that he sees everything and I should focus on my career and make impact,” he disclosed.
Peller pledged to organise a concert for Shatta Wale in Nigeria, saying, “I will bring Shatta Wale from Ghana to Nigeria. 100,000 people will come out for you and I will sponsor it.”
The bromance between Peller from Nigeria and Shatta Wale from Ghana is all about mutual admiration and respect. Peller, sometime in 2025, visited Ghana and was warmly welcomed by Shatta Wale, who showed him around Accra and even gifted him an iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Their interactions have been making waves on social media, with fans praising their chemistry and Shatta Wale’s generosity.
Their bond seems to have started when Peller expressed his desire to meet Shatta Wale, who is known as “Africa Dancehall King”. Shatta Wale responded by inviting Peller to Ghana, and the visit turned out to be a huge success. Peller has even credited Shatta Wale for inspiring him to be more generous, as he gifted a Ghanaian man cash in Nigeria, citing Shatta Wale as his inspiration.
Interestingly, their friendship has also sparked some drama, with Stonebwoy, another Ghanaian musician, unfollowing Peller on social media after he vibed with Shatta Wale.
