Black princesses lineup
The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has settled all outstanding per diem payments owed to Ghana’s U-20 women’s national team, the Black Princesses, following their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifying tie against Tunisia.
The team, coached by Charles Sampson, had been awaiting the allowances due for the period they were in camp during last year’s two-legged encounter with the North African opponents.
Despite the delay, the Princesses delivered an impressive performance, defeating Tunisia 4–1 on aggregate to secure progression to the next round of the qualifiers.
With preparations intensifying for their upcoming third-round showdown against South Africa, scheduled for next month, the Ministry has now moved to clear the outstanding payments, just three weeks before the crucial fixture.
The timely intervention provides a morale boost for the Black Princesses as they set their sights on overcoming South Africa and keeping alive their quest for another appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
