ENTERTAINMENT PUNDIT, Nana Kojo Mula, has tipped rap artiste Medikal to win this year’s Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year.
Speaking on DGN’s Entertainment Guide hosted by Prudent Himself, Kojo Mula stated that over the year under review, Medikal has proven to be a force to reckon with in the music industry.
He added that Medikal’s Beyond Kontrol (BYK) concert performance was a real statement, emphasising that he’s firmly in the Artiste of the Year race, and hopefully Ghanaians reward him with the TGMA crown.
“I have witness him perform, I enjoy the performance, and the other performances, like the 3Music one, also the TGMA, he’s an A+ performer. And his BYK concert performance was a statement. Putting this together, I think he is up for the Artiste of the Year race,” Kojo Mula said.
Medikal is among the few names been mentioned by music lovers for consideration in this year’s TGMA Artistes of the Year category. 2025 was a standout year for Medikal; his song ‘Shoulder’ featuring Shatta Wale and Beeztrap KOTM, won Song of the Year at the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards.
He also dropped his highly anticipated album ‘Disturbation 2’ in October, featuring collaborations with Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Olivetheboy.
The rapper’s Beyond Kontrol Concert at the Accra Sports Stadium was a massive hit, with top-notch security and crowd management. He delivered a high-energy performance with other notable acts such as Wendy Shay, Sarkodie, and Kofi Kinaata.
Medikal had declared 2025 as his “selfish year,” focusing on his personal growth and artistry, and it seems like it paid off.
