Ghanaian high-life and Afrobeat singer-songwriter, Kuami Eugene, has refuted claims that following his departure from the Lynx Entertainment family he has not been active in the music scene.

Speaking on Showbiz 360 hosted by Giovani Caleb, Kuami Eugene emphasised that he has been active ever since his departure from his former record label, saying, “All the songs that I released after leaving Lynx have accrued million views on various media platform.”

He added that many people create narratives just to dampen someone’s spirit, adding, “I played most of the big shows last year, the clubs play my song, so I don’t really understand the saying that I have been down after my departure, it’s not true.”

Kuami Eugene has been making waves in the entertainment space in 2025. He won an award at the Ghana Music Awards Europe 2025 and was nominated for Best Highlife Song for ‘Canopy’.

Kuami Eugene released several singles, including ‘Odo Asem’, ‘Do Better’, ‘Emotional’, and ‘Instagram’, showcasing his versatility in Afrobeats and highlife genres.

He worked with other artistes, such as Empress Gifty, Mophty, and Beeztrap KOTM, on tracks like ‘Watch Me’, ‘Single’, and ‘Bully’.

Kuami Eugene also performed at notable events, including Shattafest 2025 in Accra.
