An unidentified woman has dumped a fully grown fetus, which has virtually developed all vital human body organs, into a public toilet.
The lifeless baby was reportedly found in a public toilet near the Atwima Gyekye Methodist JHS in the Adu Nwanmase Electoral Area in the Ashanti Region, at 1 p.m. on February 4, 2026.
The shocking discovery attracted scores of curious people in the community to the scene, who reported the weird case to the Foase Police to help investigate and arrest the woman to face the law.
“On 04/02/2026, at about 1300 hours, Foase Police received a call from Hon. Francis Asamoah, Assembly Member for Atwima Gyekye, Adu Nwanmase Electoral Area, that a premature fetus, suspected to be aborted, was found in a public KVIP near Atwima Gyekye Methodist JHS.
“Police proceeded to the scene at Atwima Gyekye and found a lifeless fetus, estimated to be about eight to nine months old, dumped in the KVIP,” Foase District Police statement disclosed.
According to the police report, the baby has since been buried by the assemblyman and unit committee members in the community after the body was released to them by the police.
“The District Environmental Health Officers, led by David Yakubu, were invited to the scene to fumigate same, after which it was retrieved from the pit and handed over to the Assembly Member and Unit Committee members for burial,” the report added.
The Foase District Police assured that they are doing everything legally possible to identify and arrest the culprit, saying, “efforts are underway to identify and arrest the perpetrator to face justice.”
