FORMER ASHANTI Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) Executives have urged the party leadership to assign them key roles to play for the NPP ahead of election 2028.
According to them, they are determined and ready to campaign for the NPP to win the 2028 presidential and parliamentary polls, so the party should use them properly.
“The National Executives should give us responsibilities to play for the NPP ahead of election 2028. We shall form campaign teams in all the electoral areas and polling stations.
“We have already started forming teams with supporters of Kennedy Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Ing. Kwabena Agyepong and Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum to work for the party to win the polls.
“Our main target is to ensure that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia becomes president in 2028,” Kwabena Nsenkyire, a leading member of the former Ashanti Regional NPP Executives, disclosed.
Speaking at a press conference in Kumasi on Tuesday, he commended Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, aka Napo, the 2024 NPP running mate, for supporting their members.
According to Mr. Nsenkyire, his group has been flourishing because of the support and wise counsel of Napo, stressing, “Dr. Prempeh has been a strong pillar, a pillow to lean on; a father to run to for comfort in times of trouble, and a source of inspiration for our members in all the 47 constituencies in the Ashanti Region.
“His support for our group is unmatched in our political party. He has consistently shown strong dedication and interest in the welfare of our members, and his efforts have positively impacted our lives.
“Based on his good works, the former Ashanti Regional NPP Executives have decided to make Dr. Prempeh our Life Patron.”
