A scene from the Valentine’s Day event

Over hundreds of patrons gathered at the food court of the Accra Mall last Saturday to experience Guide Radio 91.5 FM, Valentine edition of Simmer Down, ‘Fiesta de Salsa’.

Starting at 7 p.m., the event witnessed some salsa moves from experts engaging with interested members on the dance floor, attracting onlookers to join the celebration.

The event, which was powered by Golden Tree Chocolate, Accra Mall, Ghana AIDS Commission, Brutal Fruit Spritzer, and Ghandour Cosmetics Limited, among others, also saw some participating fans receiving gift products from sponsors.

The Valentine event further featured a host of different exciting lineups, notable among them being a sex education segment featuring a host of experts from the Ghana AIDS Commission, who spoke on relationship guidance, counselling and abstinence from unprotected sex.

Also, there was awareness campaign on Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) aimed at preventing the spread of infections, reducing stigma, and encouraging early testing to avoid long-term health consequences like infertility or chronic pain.

Many of the patrons who spoke to the paper applauded the organisers and sponsors for the Valentine’s Day event.
