Ghanaian award-winning gospel singer, Sonnie Badu, has showered accolades and praises on colleague singer Diana Hamilton, after the successful hosting of her “Awake Experience” in both Accra and Kumasi.
The ‘My Soul Say Yes’ composer, in series of post on his social media pages, congratulated Diana Hamilton, referring to her as the “Queen of Ghana Gospel Music”, a title which has been well hailed by online followers.
He posted a photo of Diana Hamilton in a full Kente dress by Marizy Couture, performing at the Kumasi Awake Experience under the caption, “Great Job. Queen of Ghana Music @DianaAntwiHamilton, this is what success looks like when God blesses you with a good husband #DrHamilton God Bless you.”
Diana Hamilton has received massive applauses from the gospel fraternity for staging another wonderful “Experience” concert, with many tipping her to grab the Telecel Ghana Music Awards ultimate Artiste of the Year among other nominations.
Her concerts, particularly the “Awake Experience”, have been a huge success, with the 2026 edition drawing a massive crowd to the ICGC Christ Temple East in Teshie. The event featured performances by notable artistes like Ntokozo Mbambo and Elder Mireku.
Diana Hamilton has an impressive array of achievements. She’s a two-time winner of the Ghana Music Awards, taking home the Artiste of the Year and Gospel Artiste of the Year awards in 2021 for her song “Adom”.
She’s also been recognised as one of the Top 30 Most Influential Women in Music by the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch. Some of her notable awards include: 2021 Most Streamed Female Act of the Year at the 3Music Women’s Brunch, Best Gospel Song of the Year at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for “Adom”, Album of the Year at the Praise Achievement Awards for her album “GRACE”, and nominated for AFRIMA “Best Female Artiste in African Inspirational Music Award” in 2021.
Diana’s streaming prowess is undeniable, with millions of streams on platforms like Boomplay, and YouTube among others.
