Annie Macaulay-Idibia
Nollywood actress, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, has clarified her relationship status, insisting she is not a single mother despite her separation from music star 2Baba, formerly known as 2Face Idibia.
Taking to Instagram, Annie pushed back against the label often attached to her since the split, stating that she prefers to describe herself differently.
“I’m not a single mom. I’m a single woman raising two kids,” she wrote.
Her comment comes months after 2Baba announced in late January 2025 that he was separating from his wife and initiating divorce proceedings, revealing that their marriage had not been working for a long time. Weeks after the announcement, he publicly unveiled Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru as his new partner.
In the wake of the separation, Annie briefly removed “Idibia” from her social media handles before later restoring the surname.
The couple, who married in 2012, share two daughters, Isabella and Olivia. Over the course of their 13-year relationship, they faced intense public scrutiny and personal challenges.
Annie is currently responsible for the custody and upbringing of their daughters and appears determined to define her journey on her own terms.
