Aboboyaa Rider Arrested with 397 Slabs of Suspected Cannabis in Techiman

 

Robert Tannor, a 48-year-old rickshaw rider (Aboboyaa), is in the custody of the Bono East Regional Police Command after he was caught with 397 slabs of dried plant materials suspected to be cannabis on March 8 at 2 PM.

According to the police report, at approximately 2 PM, the service was informed of an accident involving an unregistered Motor King tricycle (Aboboyaa) ridden by Robert Tannor, 48, carrying 14 bags of charcoal near Techiman Methodist Park. The tricycle ran into a stationary Kia Rhino Truck.

Police immediately responded to the accident scene and discovered compressed slabs of suspected cannabis concealed in the charcoal bags. A total of 397 slabs were retrieved from the scene.

The suspect rider was rushed to Holy Family Hospital at Techiman after sustaining injuries from the accident and was placed under police guard.
The police are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing the Kia Rhino Truck driver to aid in the investigation, as the driver is nowhere to be found.
