Nigerian media personality, Nedu Wazobia, says poor people cannot be considered role models in Nigeria.

He made the statement during a podcast conversation with media entrepreneur, Chude Jideonwo, while discussing the influence of money in society.

According to Nedu, financial success now plays a major role in determining who people respect or look up to.

“You can’t be a role model when you don’t have money in Nigeria,” he said in a snippet of the interview shared on his Instagram page.

Nedu also claimed that many women living in Lekki cannot afford their rent.

“Most women wey dey live for Lekki, na men dey pay their rent,” he stated.
