Rapper, Kofi Jamar, has said it has been an emotional struggle for him following the death of his mother, Ohenenana Winifred Prempeh.
In a message shared on social media on March 13, 2026, the musician said life has been very difficult since her passing as he tries to cope with the loss.
“Since my mum died, I’ve been trying to hold on,” he wrote.
The rapper described losing his mother as one of the most painful moments of his life, adding that he is doing his best to stay strong while continuing to focus on his music career.
Details about the circumstances surrounding the death of Ohenenana Winifred Prempeh, popularly known as Oheneafrewo, have not been made public.
Meanwhile, Kofi Jamar has been sharing photos of his late mother on social media, including images showing their close bond. He has also asked fans, friends and loved ones to support his family during this difficult time.
The rapper has announced that the one-week observance for his mother will take place on March 19, 2026, at the family residence in Bantama.
Relatives, friends and sympathisers are expected to gather to mourn and honour her memory.
