Gabby Otchere-Darko
Gabby Otchere-Darko has been identified as the songwriter behind “Believe in Africa”, the 2024 song performed by Stonebwoy.
Head of PR at Burniton Music Group, Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng made the revelation during an interview on Adom TV on March 28, 2026.
According to her, the song was commissioned for the Africa Prosperity Dialogue, with Stonebwoy selected to perform while Gabby Otchere-Darko handled the songwriting.
“If you remember, the organisers of the Africa Prosperity Dialogue contracted Stonebwoy to create a song aimed at promoting development across the continent. He went on to record ‘Believe in Africa’ and even performed it at an African leaders’ gathering in Ghana. The song was written by Gabby Otchere-Darko,” she said.
The disclosure has come shortly after Stonebwoy stirred reactions with comments made at an event at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, where he suggested that his song “Jejereje” contributed to the 2024 election victory of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
