Previous scene from Kwahu Easter
This year’s Kwahu Easter celebration is taking a dramatic turn, with partygoers being warned to cover up or risk embarrassment.
As excitement builds for the 2026 festivities, traditional leaders say they are ready to deliver a vibrant and unforgettable event, packed with concerts, street jams, cultural displays and massive crowds.
But amid the fun, one message is ringing loud and clear: dress decently or face the consequences.
The Chief of Kwahu Obomeng, Nana Owusu Nyame, according to an Adomonline report revealed that this year’s celebration will be bigger and better, drawing thousands of visitors. Still, he stressed that unity, discipline and cooperation must come first to keep the event peaceful.
But it was the Queen Mother, Nana Yaa Kwei II, who dropped the biggest bombshell.
She issued a stern warning to women planning to attend in revealing outfits, saying anyone caught in “indecent” dressing will be handed proper clothing on the spot to restore dignity.
“Yes, you will be covered up,” insiders say, as leaders move to protect the community’s cultural values.
Despite the strict stance, organisers promise a thrilling mix of entertainment and tradition, making Kwahu Easter 2026 one of the most talked-about celebrations yet.
So if you’re heading to Kwahu this Easter, remember: come for the fun but dress to respect the culture.
