A United Kingdom-based pastor and gospel singer, Prophetess Florence Opoku Agyemang, popularly known as Queen Florence, has extended love and support to inmates of the Beads of Life Foundation at New Koforidua in the Ejisu Juaben Municipality of the Ashanti Region as part of Easter celebrations.

The visit, which brought smiles and excitement to the children, saw the woman of God dine with the inmates and share in the spirit of the season, which marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Prophetess Florence, who is currently on holiday in Ghana, not only fellowshipped with the children but also presented assorted items including drinks, pens, pencils, stationery pouches, footwear, and children’s Christian literature.

Speaking during the visit, she noted that the gesture was in line with Christian values of love and compassion, especially towards vulnerable children.

“Children are blessings from God and must be treated with care and love, particularly those who have been deprived of parental support,” she stated, adding that caring for orphans is in fulfilment of biblical teachings.

The donation was sponsored by Mrs. Anita Baffour, also based in the United Kingdom, who emphasised the importance of investing in children, particularly in their early years.

According to her, early childhood development plays a crucial role in shaping the future of every individual, hence the need to ensure that all children, regardless of their background, are given the best opportunities in life.

She explained that the gesture forms part of efforts to extend the standard of care and support given to children in the UK to those in Ghana, especially the underprivileged.

Mrs. Baffour further noted that aside from the food items, the team also presented party packages, colouring books, crayons and pencils to encourage learning and bring joy to the children.

She assured the inmates of her continued support and urged corporate bodies and individuals to come to the aid of the foundation.

Receiving the items, the director of Beads of Life Foundation, Ms. Doris Agyemang, expressed profound gratitude to the donors for their kindness and prayed for God’s blessings upon them. She also appealed for more support from the public to help cater for the needs of the children under her care.

Prophetess Florence Opoku Agyemang is a pastor at Mountain Movers Chapel International, based in Croydon in the United Kingdom.
