Burna Boy and mother
The mother of Nigerian singer Burna Boy, Bose Ogulu, has reacted after her son invoked her name in a controversial statement during a livestream.
The incident followed allegations by Wizkid on the social media platform X, claiming that Burna Boy and his associates assaulted DJ Tunez at a nightclub in Lagos over a dispute related to music.
Denying the allegation during a livestream with Shallipopi, Burna Boy admitted to slapping DJ Tunez but rejected claims that a group assault took place.
“Na only me touch DJ Tunez, no be 10 people. Na two slaps I give am. I swear with my mama. If I dey lie, make Ogun carry my mama go anywhere wey Wizkid mama dey,” he said.
However, a video of the incident later surfaced online, appearing to show Burna Boy and members of his team kicking DJ Tunez on the ground, contradicting his earlier statement.
In response, Bose Ogulu was seen in a viral video surrounded by members of her son’s team, offering prayers to avert what she described as negative declarations and spiritual attacks.
“Oloun ma je a remi kemi. Oloun ma je a remi kemi,” she prayed in Yoruba.
