Jim Iyke
Veteran Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, has described internal sabotage as one of the major challenges facing the Nigerian film industry, saying the system is filled with people working against each other.
Speaking in an interview with the BBC, the actor said if he had the opportunity to change one thing in Nollywood, it would be to remove saboteurs from the industry.
“If there is one thing I would love to change about Nollywood, it would be to purge saboteurs from the industry. The industry is full of saboteurs. They can’t help themselves. They need therapy,” he said.
Jim Iyke also shared a personal highlight in his career, revealing that his proudest moment came when his son praised his acting and called him a “genius.”
He said the compliment moved him so much that he went into the bathroom to cry.
The actor further mentioned that his best working experience in the industry has been with fellow actress Kate Henshaw, whom he described as his favourite co-star to work with.
