Some members of Galaxy Ladies and children of the community after the ceremony
Residents of Berekum Zongo and Zongo Brigadier have commended the Galaxy Ladies Group of Stars for constructing a new borehole to address the persistent water challenges in the communities.
For many years, residents of the aforementioned communities depended on water from spillages and other unsafe sources for domestic use due to the lack of reliable access to clean water. The situation impacted women and children who spent long hours searching for water daily.
The newly commissioned borehole is expected to provide clean and safe drinking water to hundreds of households and improve sanitation and health conditions within the area.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, leaders of the Galaxy Ladies Group of Stars stated that the organisation has undertaken several borehole projects in different communities as part of its humanitarian activities.
According to the group, supporting the needy remains one of their major priorities. They noted that aside providing water facilities, the organisation regularly donates items to vulnerable groups, including inmates at the Nsawam Prisons.
“We believe in giving hope to society through humanitarian support. Our activities are focused on helping communities and supporting the less privileged,” a representative of the group stated.
