FLASBACK: Frederick Leonard and Peggy Ovire
Nollywood actor, Frederick Leonard, has come under renewed public scrutiny after his estranged wife, Peggy Ovire, made a series of allegations against him on social media.
In posts shared on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Ovire accused the actor of being involved in a relationship with a married woman and called on him to appear before a customary court on June 23 over their ongoing divorce proceedings.
The actress shared a video showing Leonard with a woman she claimed was married and alleged that he had failed to appear in court after being served with divorce papers.
According to Ovire, Leonard had requested a divorce but did not attend a previous court hearing, opting instead to be represented by his lawyer. She further claimed to have evidence to support her allegations and vowed to present it during the next court sitting.
The actress also alleged that the woman involved has four children and accused Leonard of denying the claims publicly despite being aware of details contained in her divorce petition.
Frederick Leonard has not publicly responded to the latest allegations. The claims made by Ovire remain unverified, and the actor has yet to state his side of the matter.
The divorce case is expected to return to court on June 23.
