Van Vicker
Renowned actor and filmmaker, Van Vicker, has graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Wisconsin International University College, Ghana.
The celebrated actor announced the accomplishment on Instagram on Friday, sharing his thoughts on what the academic honour represents.
While acknowledging the significance of earning First Class Honours, he stressed that excelling academically does not automatically translate into professional success as a lawyer.
According to him, the distinction reflects dedication, discipline, critical thinking and academic excellence. However, he noted that qualities such as integrity, practical experience, emotional intelligence and continuous learning are equally important in building a successful legal career.
“First Class Honours is proof of academic mastery, not professional mastery,” Van Vicker stated, adding that becoming a great lawyer requires mentorship, practice and strong character.
The award-winning actor began his legal studies in 2023 and completed the programme earlier this year. In January 2026, he announced that he had successfully finished the course and was awaiting graduation.
Van Vicker remains one of Africa’s most recognisable film stars, with a career spanning more than 20 years. He has featured in numerous productions across Ghana and Nigeria and has also made a mark as a director and producer through his company, Sky + Orange Productions.
