The Institute of Public Relations, IPR Ghana, has announced a month-long line-up of activities to mark IPR Ghana Month this July, aimed at celebrating public relations practice, professional development and strategic communication.
The Institute will also join the global PR community to observe World Public Relations Day on July 16.This year’s celebration, under the theme, “Public Relations and Leadership Readiness,” will feature professional dialogues, leadership conversations, youth engagements, regional activities and digital campaigns.
According to IPR Ghana, the activities are designed to create opportunities for learning, networking and reflection, while highlighting PR’s role in leadership, trust-building and national development.
President of IPR Ghana, Ms. Esther A. N. Cobbah, said the month will provide members with opportunities for growth and connection.
“There are activities for every member, and all are encouraged to participate fully,” she said. “The activities are designed to demonstrate the relevance of Public Relations to leadership effectiveness.”
As part of the commemoration, IPR Ghana will host a World PR Day Professional Dialogue 2026 to address current challenges in public relations practice, and present the IPR Ghana President’s Award to a non-member whose initiative demonstrates the effective application of PR principles.
The Institute will also launch the First Edzikanfo Lecture, an annual series honouring PR pioneers in Ghana, with the maiden edition dedicated to founding member J. E. Allotey Pappoe.
In addition, IPR Ghana Regional Chapters will facilitate High School Environmental Sustainability Conversations, while a Public Sector PR Professionals Dialogue will bring together communicators in government to discuss strategic messaging.
The month will also spotlight IPR Ghana’s Young PR Professionals, and include leadership training for IPR Ghana Student Chapter Executives.
Student members will further engage through the “IPR Ghana Student Chapters Rock” event, and a digital campaign on “Public Relations in Strategic Leadership” will run throughout July to reinforce PR’s role in leadership and reputation management.
IPR Ghana said the activities reflect its commitment to strengthening professional practice, promoting ethical communication, developing the next generation of practitioners, and positioning public relations as a strategic asset for leadership.
