Thousands Attend Takoradi’s ‘MTN Stands In Worship’

A scene from the event

The ‘MTN Stands in Worship’ gospel show took place at the auditorium of the plush Palms by Eagles Hotel in Takoradi last Friday.

It was attended by thousands of residents in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis and beyond who expressed their happiness through joyful, synchronised dancing and celebratory movements.

The attendees were mostly clad in white attires with a touch of yellow.

MTN Stands in Worship, initiated in 2013, is an annual gospel event that brings together gospel ministers and thousands of worshippers for a night of music, faith, and spiritual upliftment.

Since its inception, it has grown into one of the most anticipated gospel concerts on Ghana’s events calendar.

The Takoradi edition last Friday brought together top local and international gospel musicians for a night of praise and worship.

Musicians who thrilled the audience included Nigerian gospel star Mercy Chinwo. She was joined by Ghanaian favourite Joe Mettle, alongside Pastor Joe Beecham, Evangelist Amy Newman, and Steve O & The Broken Chains.

The Senior Manager for South-West Business District of MTN Ghana, Prince Owusu-Nyarko, noted that the company was marking 30 years of connecting people, driving innovation, and growing alongside Ghanaians.

“Tonight, we pause to say thank you, thank you to God, thank you to every customer, every partner, and every well-wisher who has been part of our story,” he stated.
