Disregard Circulating Prospectus – GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has urged the general public to disregard a list of items circulating on social media as the approved or official prospectus for the 2026 academic year.

This clarification follows the circulation of a document bearing the GES name and logo, which lists items students are purportedly required to provide, including clothing, toiletries, bedding, stationery and other personal effects.

In a statement issued yesterday, the service stated that it has not released prospectus for prospective senior high school (SHS) students, and urged parents to ignore the information.

It stated, “GES Management has not released prospectus for students. Kindly ignore any list of items circulating in the media.”

The circulating document also has a list of items for students in different programme categories, with indication that certain supplies are to be purchased through specified channels.

GES stressed that the official prospectus for students will be communicated in due time.

“The official and finalised prospectus shall be communicated in due time,” the service added.
