Carbon AV, organisers of the EMY Africa Awards, have announced entries for the 11th edition of the 2026 ceremony.
The categories are Ultimate Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Brand of the Year, the Creative and Support Arts Award.
Others are Actor of the Year, Discovery of the Year, Man of the Year – Music, Designer of the Year, Man of the Year – Sports, Diasporan Award, Media Excellence Award, Young Achiever – Male, Young Achiever – Female, Group/Club of the Year, Continental Icon Award, The Settler Award, Humanitarian Award, The Guardian Award (Mentorship and Leadership Award), The Green Fingers Award (Man of the Year – Agriculture), The PAV Ansah Communicator Award, Man of the Year – Technology, Asclepian Award (Man of the Year – Health), Magnate Award (Man of the Year – Business), and Man of the Year – Style.
The rest are Man of Courage Award, Special Recognition Award, Corporate Excellence Award, Green Corporate Award sponsored by A Rocha Ghana, and The Youth Change-Maker Award by Peace First.
According to the CEO of Carbon AV, Kojo Soboh, nominators can submit the names of their changemakers by logging onto https://emyafrica.com/the-emy-africa-awards/nominate/ to make a nomination. Nominations are open till Friday, September 11, 2026.
The EMY Africa Awards, is an annual awards scheme that celebrates African excellence, leadership, and impact across the continent and the diaspora. The awards were created to honour outstanding men and influential women whose achievements inspire progress in business, culture, sports, public service, social impact, and the creative industries.
Over 10 years, EMY Africa has honoured an extraordinary roster, including former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, Stevie Wonder, Abedi Pele, Azumah Nelson, Sir John Kani, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Tony Elumelu, Sir Sam Jonah, Don Jazzy, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, Boris Kodjoe, Patricia Obo-Nai and others.
The EMY Africa Awards has become a signature night for recognising Africans who are shaping business, culture, and leadership across the continent and beyond.
