Veteran actor, Kofi Adjorlolo, said his infamous two-year ban, imposed by some Ghanaian film producers, did not last because it failed to achieve its purpose.
He reportedly said the ban was lifted after about six to eight months.
He said he became the first actor to face such a ban and was used as a “sacrificial lamb” by the producers.
According to an Adomonline report he explained that the ban was meant to stop him from working on Ghanaian productions.
However, Nigerian producers continued to contact him for roles, allowing him to remain active.
According to Kofi Adjorlolo also known as Papa Lolo, the Ghanaian producers eventually withdrew the ban after realising that it was not achieving its purpose.
“After six months or eight months or so, they themselves just pulled that thing out that I should come back,” he said.
He added that the experience opened up more opportunities for him to work across West Africa.
