The Black Maidens ended their WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup campaign on a high note after recording a commanding 4-0 victory over hosts Côte d’Ivoire on Sunday.
Ghana took control early, with Seidatu Wahab opening the scoring from the penalty spot in the 14th minute.
The Black Maidens continued to dominate proceedings and doubled their lead in the 32nd minute through Gloria Ameaa.
Ghana maintained its control after the break and added two more goals late in the game to complete a convincing victory. Cynthia scored in the 86th minute, while the Maidens added another goal to seal the 4-0 win.
The result allowed Ghana to finish the tournament strongly in Yamoussoukro after an earlier 4-2 defeat to Nigeria at the Lycée Scientifique.
The Black Maidens also participated in a post-match penalty shootout as part of player development activities organised during the tournament.
