Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Prince Andor, better known by his stage name Twitch 4EVA, has released a new single titled ‘Clear’.
Speaking in an interview, the Afro-fusion star said the new record is inspired by his quest to project Ghanaian sound globally. “I’ve been trying to push Ghana on a global sound. So basically, we have a new one out. The title is ‘Clear’,” he said.
According to him, ‘Clear’ is an ultra-modern Highlife record infused with his signature coastal vibe and is taken off his upcoming album. “You know, I’ve been trying to push Ghana on a global sound, and it’s just right. I had to infuse Highlife in this new record, and it’s basically talking about a girl that I want to have an experience with,” he explained.
He added that the song is a single off his upcoming album titled ‘4KG – Forever Keep Going’, which reflects his journey in the music industry. “My upcoming album basically has a theme of me being in the industry for quite some time, and I haven’t realised the full support of Ghanaians, but still, I feel like this is a path that I’ve chosen, and I’m still on it. So that’s the theme: ‘Forever Keep Going’. So ‘Clear’ is a single off my upcoming album, ‘Forever Keep Going’,” he disclosed.
Twitch 4EVA started his professional recording career in 2018 after an encounter with the Ground Up Chale collective. He picked up his vocal prowess early, learning chorale music from his mother and serving as choirmaster during his primary school years. His stage name was inspired by a movie character, given to him by a cousin.
He also gained mainstream attention in 2018 with his hit single ‘Take You Sometin’ featuring Kwesi Arthur.
Known for his own brand of “coastal music” that blends Afrobeats with alternative R&B, he has since released projects including his debut EP ‘LOST’ in 2020 and has collaborated with acts like Amaarae, KiDi and Juls.
