Current Ghanaian Musicians Are Selfish – Slim Buster

Veteran Ghanaian musician, Slim Buster, has described contemporary Ghanaian musicians as selfish, accusing them of refusing to collaborate with veteran artistes.

Speaking on Adom TV, he said his attempt to secure a collaboration with a fellow musician through an intermediary was unsuccessful after the request was reportedly turned down.

“Now musicians are selfish. They are all selfish. I am telling them the gospel truth. Why should I be scared of them? They are my younger fellows,” he said.

Slim Buster also cited an alleged incident involving veteran musician Nana Kwame, who reportedly approached a contemporary hitmaker for a collaboration but was turned down.

According to Slim Buster, the musician allegedly suggested that Nana Kwame’s time had passed and that working with him would be an attempt to revive his career.

He expressed disappointment over the development, arguing that veteran musicians deserved greater respect and support from younger artistes, given their contributions to the growth of Ghana’s music industry.
