Jadon Sancho
Spanish side Getafe have made a formal offer to sign former Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, who is currently without a club after his contract expired in the summer.
The 26-year-old is considering several options as he searches for his next destination, with Getafe keen to secure his signature despite reports suggesting that negotiations could prove complicated.
Getafe, who sit 14th in La Liga and are competing in the Europa Conference League this season, are looking to strengthen their squad. Sancho is reportedly interested in moving abroad but remains open to different possibilities.
Manchester United signed the England international from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million in 2021.
However, he spent much of his time at Old Trafford away from the club on loan, including spells at Dortmund, Chelsea and Aston Villa.
Sancho featured 39 times for Aston Villa last season as Unai Emery’s side enjoyed success in Europe, with the winger coming off the bench in their Europa League final victory over Freiburg. It was his third appearance in a European final in three consecutive seasons.
His previous loan move to Chelsea during the 2024-25 campaign included an obligation to buy, but the London club paid a £5 million penalty to end the arrangement and return him to Manchester United after 41 appearances.
Meanwhile, Getafe have also signed former Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal on a free transfer.
The 34-year-old right-back, who won 27 trophies with Madrid, including six Champions League titles, has signed a contract until June 2027.
Sancho has continued training while weighing up his next move, sharing videos of his sessions on social media.
He recently visited non-league club Flixton, which clarified that the former England international was not on trial with the North West Counties League side.
