Wizkid
Nigerian singer, Wizkid, has become the first African artiste to surpass 12 billion streams on Spotify across all credits.
The milestone was announced on Monday by WizStatz, a music statistics account on X, which credited the achievement to the singer, whose real name is Ayo Balogun.
The figure covers streams from his solo releases, collaborations and guest appearances on songs by other artistes.
Wizkid’s latest achievement follows another milestone in May 2026, when he became the first African artiste to reach 11 billion Spotify streams across all credits.
The record further underscores the global reach of the Nigerian star, who has established himself as one of Africa’s leading music exports.
