Zenith Bank Celebrates 21 Years With Walk, SME Fair

A Scene during the walk

Zenith Bank Ghana has marked its 21st anniversary with a health walk and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) Fair to celebrate its growth, customer relationships and contribution to business development.

The event, held under the theme, “21 Years of Excellence, A Future of Possibilities”, brought together customers, business partners, staff and other stakeholders.

Welcoming participants, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Zenith Bank Ghana, Henry Onwuzurigbo, said the combination of the health walk and SME fair highlighted the importance of health and wellness while providing a platform for SME customers to showcase their products and services.

He said the initiative was also aimed at strengthening relationships with customers and other stakeholders.

Mr. Onwuzurigbo expressed appreciation to regulators, the Board Chairman and Directors, Executive Management, customers, partners, vendors, the Ghana Wheelchair Basketball Federation, organisations, associations, the media and current and former staff for supporting the celebration.

He described the event as the biggest health walk in the Ghanaian banking industry.

He particularly commended the SME exhibitors, entrepreneurs and business owners whose participation, he said, had made the fair successful.

Reflecting on the bank’s 21 years of operations, he said the milestone represented trust, resilience, innovation and service excellence.

He noted that the bank’s consistent growth had strengthened its capacity to support businesses, create opportunities, impact communities and contribute to national development.

On digital innovation, Mr. Onwuzurigbo reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to using technology to make banking more accessible, convenient and secure.

He also highlighted the launch of Z-Money Agency Banking, which brings essential banking services closer to customers through authorised agents in their communities.

Mr. Onwuzurigbo said the bank remained committed to supporting SMEs and entrepreneurship through appropriate financing, transaction banking, digital solutions and business support services.

He encouraged participants to patronise the exhibitors at the Annex and Zenith Heights premises, adding that the bank’s retail, agency banking and e-business teams were available to educate customers on its new products and services.

Looking ahead, he said Zenith Bank would continue to build on its strong foundation, guided by its pillars of People, Technology and Service, with a focus on innovation, digital transformation, improved customer experience and sustainable growth.

He thanked customers for their trust and loyalty and acknowledged the support of corporate partners, including The Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Kasapreko PLC and Guinness Ghana PLC, for donating water and beverages for the event.

The Board Chairman of Zenith Bank Ghana, Charles Nimako, also commended staff for their hard work and dedication, which he said had contributed to the bank’s strong performance.

Mr. Nimako observed that while profitability across the banking industry had declined, Zenith Bank Ghana had recorded growth, attributing the performance to staff commitment and the continued support of customers.
