ECG Accra West Team at Guiness Ghana
The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Accra West Region, has engaged representatives of businesses, industries and other major power consumers, collectively referred to as Special Important Customers (SICs), as part of activities marking this year’s Customer Service Month celebration.
The engagement, which climaxed the region’s October celebrations, was held under the theme, ‘The Extra Mile,’ highlighting ECG’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and exceeding customer expectations.
The meeting provided an opportunity for ECG management to obtain firsthand feedback from the SICs, who collectively contribute approximately 40 per cent of the region’s total revenue.
It also offered a platform to address customer concerns and provide updates on the company’s operations.
Key issues discussed included ECG’s billing cycle and payment channels, the causes of planned and unplanned power outages, measures being implemented to address service interruptions, and the use of the company’s digital engagement platforms to improve communication with customers and other stakeholders.
As part of the celebration, the Accra West Regional Management team also visited more than 70 Special Important Customers at their respective premises across the region to recognise their loyalty, partnership and contribution to the company’s growth.
According to ECG, the initiative forms part of its commitment to appreciating customers for their continued support, prompt payment of electricity bills and confidence in the ECG brand.
Speaking during the visits, General Manager of the Accra West Region, Sariel Adobea Etwire, expressed appreciation to the customers for their continued partnership and cooperation.
She said the recognition was a demonstration of the company’s gratitude to customers whose consistent patronage and support had contributed significantly to its operational success.
“Our customers remain at the heart of everything we do. This recognition is a testament to our appreciation for your loyalty, partnership, and confidence in ECG. We value the important role you play in driving economic growth and national development, and we remain committed to supporting your operations through continuous improvements in our service delivery,” she stated.
Mrs. Etwire further reaffirmed the commitment of staff in the Accra West Region to providing prompt, responsive and customer-focused services in line with the theme,
She stressed that going the extra mile campaign was not merely a slogan but a commitment to ensuring that customers received the best possible service.
“Going the extra mile is more than a slogan; it is our commitment to ensuring that our customers receive the best service possible. We will continue to strengthen our engagement with customers and implement initiatives that enhance service reliability and customer satisfaction,” she added.
Some of the customers who received the recognition expressed appreciation to ECG for the gesture and commended the company for its efforts to improve service delivery and sustain regular engagement with the business community.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining their partnership with ECG and supporting initiatives that promote economic growth and national development.
