English singer, Adele, has announced that she will be taking a break from music to explore new creative pursuits.
The ‘Hello’ singer, who has been living in the United States for the past two years, explained that she would be relocating back to her home country when her residency expires in November.
In an interview with German broadcaster, ZDF, Adele told fans not to expect new music from her anytime soon, emphasising her desire for a significant break.
“I don’t have plans for new music at all. I want a big break, and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while,” she said.
Adele’s last album, 2021’s ’30’, received critical acclaim and won the British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards in 2022.
With 16 Grammy wins under her belt, Adele’s decision to step away from music has surprised and saddened many fans.
However, her announcement also sparked curiosity about what creative ventures she might pursue next.
