Veteran Ghanaian actress Adjoa Pieterson, popularly called Adjoa Pee, promises to unite Ghanaian actors and provide them with good welfare as she seeks to be voted as Ghana Actors Guild’s (GAG) welfare officer.

The GAG which is tagged as the umbrella body for Ghanaian actors will be holding its long-awaited general elections come Saturday, April 28 to elect new members several months after its president, Reverend Eddie Coffie, died and other officers travelled and left their posts vacant.

Among other actors who are contesting in Saturday polls include veteran actor Abeiku Sagoe and Van Vicker who are competing for president and vice president positions respectively.

Adjoa Pee who is known for her commitment to supporting and going to the aide of aged actors and ailing veteran actors is calling on her colleagues to vote for her to be the next welfare officer of the guild.

She told NEWS-ONE that if she is voted, she would bring a lot of positive changes to that department of the actors’ guild and also support the general consensus to unite the country’s actors.

“My love for the welfare of actors and actress is one of the reasons I am currently producing and hosting a TV programme called Naked where we discuss issues bordering on welfare of the Ghanaian. People can also attest to the welfare support I rendered to a number of our colleagues during their times of need,” she revealed.

“Kindly vote for me. A vote for me means a perfect well-being of our people. I am the lone ranger, very neutral without any camp, a unifier with integrity and accountability. Vote for Adjoa Pieterson aka Adjoa Pee, the No.1 on the ballot paper as welfare officer,” she added.

Adjoa Pieterson is well-known by Ghanaians as Adjoa Pee, a name she adopted when she joined the Osofo Dadzie Group 31 years ago.

She is often described as a talented actress with infectious beauty. She is a product of Tema Parents Association School and a professional caterer with professional catering certificates from Takoradi Polytechnic, Achimota Business College and The Page Catering Institute, Tema.

As a drama and theatre enthusiast, she attended GTV Radio & TV Training School and has since been part of a lot of productions.
