Adwoa Safo Launches Campaign

Sarah Adwoa Safo, New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Dome/Kwabenya Constituency, will tomorrow (Wednesday) kick-start an aggressive campaign for change in her constituency to showcase the message of hope that the party is bringing.

The campaign, which will herald the roadmap towards the change of government in the coming elections, is expected to rein in the hearts of her constituents and Ghanaians in general, who have been disillusioned by the economic hardship brought on them by the present government.

The MP, who is a procurement lawyer, says Ghana is in an economic quagmire and needs a visionary and experienced leadership to ameliorate the untold hardship visited on Ghanaians as a result of bad governance.

She said the only remedy to the situation the country found herself was for Ghanaians to vote massively for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the NPP, to assume the reins of power and implement prudent and pragmatic policies that would take the country out of its present economic recession.

Adwoa Safo noted that it was now common knowledge that the NDC government, led by President John Mahama, was clueless as to how to provide the “Better Ghana” it promised Ghanaians and had rather reversed all the critical and worthy interventions the NPP government put in place to better the lot of the people.

She said the NDC government’s habitual boast of expanding infrastructural development across the country was just a smokescreen to loot the coffers of the state, explaining that the cost of those projects did not tally with the unbridled borrowings and humongous debts accrued by the moribund administration.

“I dare them to cost the projects and we will all see how badly they will be exposed,” she said.

The lawmaker, as part of the campaign agenda, has lined up a number of speakers who will educate the electorate on the NPP’s agenda for change and how it plans to address the myriad issues and economic hardship the NDC has brought on the people.

Some of the personalities who would interact with the electorate include the NPP Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo and his spouse, his running mate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and his spouse, the Minority Leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, and the Acting National Chairman of the NPP, Freddie Blay.

The Deputy Minority Leader, Dominic Nitiwul, and the MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, will also address the people. The campaign launch will begin at 12 noon at the Atomic Park, near Kwabenya. It will be carried live on Oman Fm.
