A leading Turkish firm, Aksa Energy, has supported the ‘no-to-vigilantism peace match’ between Accra Zongo and their Kumasi counterparts scheduled for June 16 at the Wembley Park, Kotobabi in Accra.

Dubbed ‘uniting the youth against political violence in Ghana and Africa as a whole’, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Football for Humanity, Yahaya Alhassan, said the game is aimed at creating awareness and prevent political vigilantism, which is gradually eating into the fabric of  Zongo communities and the youth of Ghana.

The project manager of Aksa Energy, Murat Captug, described Ghana as the land of peace and stability and advised Ghanaians to uphold such an enviable reputation by campaigning for peace and unity.

Yahaya Alhassan thanked the Managing Director of Bulk Oil Storage Transportation (BOST), George Mensah Okley, for the company’s support of jerseys for the opposing teams and Aksa Energy.

He expressed his profound appreciation for the Turkish energy giant’s role in shaping Ghana’s energy industry.
