American rapper, Meek Mill, has spoken about his meeting with Ghana’s President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, expressing his admiration for him and naming him as his favourite politician.
Meek Mill’s declaration came during a conversation with fellow rapper Rick Ross on Complex, where he discussed his memorable visit to Ghana in December 2022.
The rapper spoke highly of his meeting with President Akufo-Addo, which left a lasting impact on him.
“I met the President of Ghana, so he’s one of my favourite politicians. To be able to meet a black president myself and have him welcome me into his house, he instilled a lot of confidence in me, and I want to be better. So, I’ll say that’s my favourite politician right now,” he indicated.
Meek Mill’s first trip to Ghana was filled with memorable experiences. Although he was initially invited to perform at the AfroNation festival in Accra, he also had the honour of meeting President Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.
This unique encounter left a profound impression on the rapper, and he expressed his desire to return to Ghana in the near future.
