In an official press statement released, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, presidential candidate hopeful of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) says his Alan for President (A4P) 2024 Campaign Coordination team is currently analyzing the results of the Special Electoral College Election.

He promised to deliver a public broadcast later this week to outline the way forward for his campaign after the analysis.

The former Minister of Trade and Industry
announced his selection as one of the presidential aspirants to contest the upcoming November 4, 2023 Presidential primary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The selection was made by the Special Electoral College convened by the party at the weekend where he dropped to third position behind Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and the maverick Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong.

He expressed his gratitude to the Almighty for His grace and guidance throughout his political journey.

He also extended his congratulations to all his colleagues who participated in the selection process, recognizing their efforts and commitment.

The politician took the opportunity to thank the delegates of the Special Electoral College who voted for him, emphasizing their role in the initial selection process.

He also expressed his appreciation to his family and the Alan for President (A4P) 2024 campaign team, along with members of the Pro-Alan Groups, for their dedication and commitment to his campaign agenda.

However, amidst his joy for being selected, Mr. Kyerematen expressed deep sorrow over a violent incident that occurred during the selection process where one of his agents was reportedly assaulted.

He lamented the brutal assault on his polling agent in the North East region, considering it as a stain on the integrity of the internal democratic process within the NPP. He wished his colleague a speedy recovery and assured him and his family of his unwavering support for their wellbeing.

In conclusion, Mr Kyerematen reassured his supporters, particularly those at the grassroots level, that the battle is still is the Lord’s, and those who wait upon Him shall have their strength renewed.

He prayed for blessings upon Ghana, hoping for a great and strong nation.
